Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort is a Marriott hotel: a 19th century villa in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Lucca. It is the old villa of the family of the poet Giuseppe Giusti: in 1849, maintenance technicians discovered the largest thermal grotto in Europe here. A millennia-old grotto of 2000 m², which Giuseppe Verdi described as "the eighth wonder of the world" and which gave the hotel its name.
The grotto is divided into three sections - Paradise, Purgatory and Hell - and houses a thermal lake, the "limbo", where you can enjoy an amazing experience known as spa floating: the tour begins with bioenergetic and yoga-inspired relaxation techniques before continuing with a floating session on the surface of the underground lake. Inner harmony is worked on in an emotionally highly effective environment.
The thermal water of Grotta Giusti flows warm and pure from the hydrothermal aquifer of Montalbano, where it is enriched with precious minerals and trace elements.
