Details More about the Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort
Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort is a Marriott hotel: a 19th century villa in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Lucca. A 19th century villa in the heart of Tuscany between Florence and Lucca. It is the old villa of the family of the poet Giuseppe Giusti: in 1849, maintenance technicians discovered the largest thermal grotto in Europe here. A millennia-old grotto of 2000 m², which Giuseppe Verdi described as "the eighth wonder of the world" and which gave the hotel its name.
The grotto is divided into three sections - Paradise, Purgatory and Hell - and houses a thermal lake, the "limbo", where you can enjoy an amazing experience known as spa floating: the tour begins with bioenergetic and yoga-inspired relaxation techniques before continuing with a floating session on the surface of the underground lake. Inner harmony is worked on in an emotionally highly effective environment.
The thermal water of Grotta Giusti flows warm and pure from the hydrothermal aquifer of Montalbano, where it is enriched with precious minerals and trace elements. It is used in the same state in which it gushes from the springs, without any chemical or physical treatments. Thanks to their anti-inflammatory and relaxing effects, they are an invaluable aid for health care and treatment. A dip in the pools of pure thermal water is just one of the ways to take advantage of this gift of nature.
The 3000 square meter spa offers a 750 square meter thermal pool with underwater hydromassages, two smaller thermal pools, saunas, steam baths, a Roman bath, experience showers, ice fountains and various relaxation areas.
The Equilibrium Method is the spa's core philosophy and includes treatments that primarily aim to 'switch off' hyperactive stress and inflammatory systems. The program's therapies and treatments have an immediate, coordinated effect on the nervous, endocrine and immune systems. This leads to weight loss, detoxification and an anti-stress effect.

Il Poeta restaurant is the place where the connection with the land and culture is also reflected in the food. Our chefs and mixologists create their recipes and cocktails in the poetic atmosphere of the Grotta Giusti, using local produce and aromatic plants from the herb garden, which can also be sampled in the fantastic L'Affresco bar with its original frescoed ceiling. Speaking of exclusive dining areas: The view of the beautiful, centuries-old park and the resort's summer swimming pool make the moments spent by the Oasi pool truly unique. It is the ideal place to relax or enjoy an al fresco lunch in warm weather.
The resort has 68 rooms that have been completely renovated, including two Grand Deluxe rooms with balconies integrated into the historic façade.
