The history and renaming of the Meiser SPA Resort
Wellness resorts of our category and size are mainly found in the Alpine region. In 2003, family entrepreneurs Thomas and Armin Meiser, with their wives Susan and Stefanie, decided to bring this atmosphere to their homeland.
The foundation for entering the hotel industry was laid in the traditional company, which was previously known for the legendary "dance metropolis". The fairytale exterior architecture is often referred to as "Cinderella Castle" by American guests. The interior is characterized by alpine lifestyle and was designed by an Austrian star architect.
Over the years, the hotel grew larger and larger. New rooms were built and in 2013 the new building with an indoor and outdoor pool was added. At the end of 2022, the Meiser family began a two-year expansion program that transformed the "Meiser Vital Hotel" into the "Meiser SPA Resort".
A resort is an extended form of a hotel that is designed for longer stays and offers an all-round experience in one place. This includes changing weekly programs with activities such as wine tastings or yoga classes.
The new sauna world was completed in December 2022. In October 2023, the first hotel rooms from the opening year were completely renovated and are now in the "modern chic" style. In December 2023, the newly built "Cocoon" relaxation room opened with 40 additional loungers. In March 2024, massage rooms and the wellness reception were renovated.
In May 2024, the outdoor area was redesigned with larger lounge areas, a pool bar and a relaxation garden. In the same month, the new "Infinity" terrace opened and the restaurant rooms were given a new shine. After all these construction steps, the SPA area is now over 2,000 m², making the hotel one of the largest resorts in southern Germany.
