St. John's wort - July is the ideal harvest time
A medicinal plant that transforms sunlight into nerve power, stabilizes the psyche, alleviates fears and calms the nerves. Like only a few other medicinal plants, St. John's wort is able to accumulate strengthening light forces and pass them on to us humans. The active ingredient content is highest during the flowering period. Therefore, the perfect harvest period is mid/late June and July. It is ideal to harvest the herb in the morning on dry days.
John's wort is one of the oldest medicinal plants in medical history. Paracelsus, an outstanding physician of the Middle Ages, also used St. John's wort to heal melancholy and depression.
Information: TCM ascribes a heart and kidney yin nourishing quality to St. John's wort. It harmonizes the wood element (liver-bile), calms shen (heart) and has an enlightening effect on the brain. A stomach massage with St. John's wort oil is good therapy for asthma patients!
