LEADING SPA AWARD 2023: The winners have been chosen

It smells of lemon balm and pine. Your thoughts become quiet and your whole body relaxes. This is what your very own personal breather feels like. And it is already waiting for you in some of the most beautiful spa hotels. So that you don't waste time researching and can enjoy your time out right away, the Leading Spa Award honors outstanding 4 to 5-star superior wellness hotels in Austria, Germany and Italy every year. For this purpose, the votes of over 41,250 independent wellness lovers were collected and evaluated in 2023. In addition to the ambience and offering, the quality of the hosts, which must completely impress the guests, is also honored.

To award the wellness prize, the entire concept is evaluated, from the spa area and the specials to the cuisine and service. Only the very best hotels make it onto the favorites list: there are eight winners in Germany this year, seven in Austria and one in Italy. The top hotels include the Ludwig Inspiration Spa Resort in Bavaria, the Salzburg Edelweiss Mountain Resort, the Höflehner nature and wellness hotel in Styria and the Alpen Tesitin Wellness Resort in South Tyrol - just to give you a little foretaste.
