Fasting on the Baltic Sea
“Therapeutic fasting is not starvation and is more than just losing weight,” once wrote Maria Buchinger, the daughter of the master of fasting therapy in Germany, Dr. med. Otto Buchinger. Ms. Buchinger was correct with this statement, because fasting is a state of conscious, temporary abstinence from solid food.
The fasting department in the hotel will be happy to accompany you during modified therapeutic fasting according to Buchinger with special food made from natural ingredients. The deep-rooted cleansing abilities in all people are revealed and physical and mental health is thus maintained or restored. Fasting stimulates the body to eliminate excess.
During fasting, the body gets its energy primarily from breaking down fat. Around 200 grams of fat are broken down every day. Increased levels of happiness hormones, so-called endorphins, are released. The person fasting can feel how they are gaining new strength and can concentrate better again. The trivial fades, the essential becomes clear. Nothing is sharper than the gaze of the fasting person.
Every person, with a few exceptions that can be determined by a doctor, can fast. The duration of fasting depends on the indication and varies between 7 and 21 days. There are also 2 to 4 assembly days.
