5 stars for the Ortner's Resort!
Bettina Ortner-Zwicklbauer, who runs the business together with hotel director Christian Schauberger, is overjoyed and full of gratitude about this new milestone in the history of the hotel and her family. Important for both of them: Stay down to earth and live casual luxury. But still “move forward with lots of new ideas and give the town of Bad Füssing fresh impetus.” “It has always been my dream to turn my grandparents' former farm into a luxury hotel, and this dream has now become a reality. I would never have been able to do all of this without my great team and the support of my family," says the hotel manager happily.
Today marks 10 years to the day since Bettina Ortner-Zwicklbauer took over the family business with 17 employees and 120 beds as a bed and breakfast hotel from her dad, Franz Xaver Ortner in 2013. A lot has happened since then. Today's Ortner's Resort currently has 166 beds as well as excellent gastronomy and 130 highly motivated employees who pull together with the family and put their heart and soul into ensuring a wonderful holiday feeling. Quite a few of the department heads held management positions in national and international 5-star hotels before their time at Ortner’s. They are used to working at a high level and encouraging their teams to achieve top performance every day. The numerous awards in recent months confirm this. “The future belongs to the brave,” resort owner Bettina Ortner-Zwicklbauer said these special words before the new Ortner's Thermenwelt was built and she was right, because especially in times of pandemic and crisis it is important to be brave and new to realize ideas! "We see ourselves as a lighthouse in stormy times and just like back in 1938, exactly 85 years ago, when the strongest sulfur spring in Europe was drilled on the Ortner family's property, pioneering work was once again carried out today by our Bad Füssing family of entrepreneurs," says Christian Schauberger, the director of the newly minted 5-star hotel.
The first mayor of Bad Füssing, Tobias Kurz, and tourism manager Daniela Leipelt also attended the ceremony. “This is the start of premium hotels locally and we are happy together with the Ortner’s Resort,” says Daniela Leipelt.
